Beetle - Dice Game Rules

Beetle is a simple and fun dice game where players race to draw a complete beetle (also known as Cootie)

Players: 2+

Ages: 6+

Time: 15-30 minutes

Setup: 1 die for the group; paper and pencil to each player

Turn order: Clockwise

Goal: The goal of the game is to be the first player to draw a complete beetle.

Cycle (4 rounds):

1. Roll: On their turn, a player rolls the die and attempts to draw a part of the beetle based on the number rolled.
2. Draw: The player must roll a 6 to draw the body first. Once the body is drawn, the player can then draw other parts:

- 6 for the body (must come first)
- 5 for the head
- 4 for the wings (two wings, one for each 4 rolled)
- 3 for the legs (six legs, one for each 3 rolled)
- 2 for the antennae (two antennae, one for each 2 rolled)
- 1 for the eyes (two eyes, one for each 1 rolled)

3. Pass: After drawing the corresponding part or if unable to draw because the body hasn't been rolled, the turn passes to the next player.
4. Repeat: Continue rolling and drawing until one player completes their beetle.

Ending: The game ends when a player completes their beetle by drawing all the necessary parts. That player is declared the winner.
