Escalation - Dice Game Rules
How much will you risk on a roll?
Players: 2-4 players
Ages: ?+
Time: ?m
Setup: 3 yellow dice to each player. Each player claims one color (or dist. all?)
Turn order: Roll for first. Clockwise.
Goal: Win all the yellow dice
Cycle:
- Point Player:
~ Put one colored die into pot as ante
~ Roll all yellow dice
-
Next Player:
~ Put ante into pot
~ Choose whether to add colored die to roll up to 1 more than previous player.
~ Roll yellow dice + added dice -
Compare:
~ If new total is higher, then continue around circle (added dice go to pot after next player)
~ If not, pot goes to previous player
- After pot is claimed, start new cycle with next player not involved
- ALTERNATE: Can’t add to the roll total, but can bump up the pot
- ? If out, what happens if the roll comes back around to you? I think you’re out; last chance was next player’s roll
Finale:
- Players are out when they have no more colored dice after a pot has been claimed
- Winner is the one who wins all the yellow dice
